SRI LANNA NATIONAL PARK NATURE AND ELEPHANTS tour

OUTLINE PROGRAM  

DAY 1- Elephant Experience (ethical camp)

08.30 Meet at your Chiang Mai hotel (or airport) and transfer to the Maesa Valley. We will visit Elephant Poo Poo Paper park, where you can observe the steps in making world famous paper product from elephant poop fibers. Lunch at a local restaurant then transfer to an elephant sanctuary where the visitors can get the opportunity to know each of the remarkable elephants and gain a special understanding of their daily lives and behaviors. Experience life with the elephants in their natural home as well as gain an insight into their history. Spent time with these amazing animals with friendly and happy elephants in a safe and protected area. At the end of the experience, vehicle transfer to reach our overnight place, a comfortable boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the Mae Taeng valley. Thai dinner and overnight at the hotel.  

DAY 2 - Explore the Sri Lanna National Park

Morning breakfast at the hotel.

09.30 We’ll depart the hotel on bicycles for a short 10km ride to Wat Ban Den. This is a unique and amazing temple complex overlooking the valley. Cycle or opt to transfer by vehicle to the nearby Sri Lanna National Park, and the scenic Mae Ngat Dam lake filled by the Mae Ngat river.

12:00 Embark on a short motorboat ride (15 minutes) to reach the floating raft house.

12.30 Enjoy a succulent Thai lunch on the floating restaurant. 

14:00 The more adventurous participants can opt for a guided paddling trip, exploring the surroundings, looking for local fishermen or spotting some birds. Or if you prefer, simply relax on the deck and taking a dip in the refreshing water.

16.00 or at suitable time, embark the motorboat and return to the shore. Short transfer back to the hotel. Tonight you will indulge yourself with succulent northern Thai delicacies, and a good night’s sleep. 

DAY 3 - Cycling and waterfalls

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning discovery on two wheels, exploring the traditional Thai countryside and splendid nature of the surrounding valley. Irrigated by the water of the nearby dam, the valley is always green and fertile, allowing various crops all year long. Participants will enjoy this leisurely 2 to 3 hours cycling loop enriched with interesting stops and explanations along the way. You will discover local farming, and learn about rice cultivation. Cycle little used roads and trails through plantations and local orchards. Ride back to the hotel for a delicious Thai lunch. In the afternoon, we transfer to the nearby “sticky waterfall” to refresh and relax. The waterfall’s stream is made of limestone and is non-slippery. Visitors can enjoy climbing the fall under the water, or simply enjoy the surrounding forest with a short nature hike. 

15h30 - 16.00 Transfer back to Chiang Mai and drop off at your hotel in the city. (Arrival at approximately 17h00).

PRICE: Approximate price is 9500 Baht per person, based on two participants sharing one room. Private vehicle, including Elephant Park experience.
