Liability

CONTACT TRAVEL CO., LTD is a Thai company registered in Chiang Mai, Thailand, here-under referred to as "the Company".

The Company act as an intermediary between hotels, airlines and transport companies providing services. Therefore "the company" is not responsible in case of loss, injury, damage that could happen to the client, including those occurring outside the tours or programs. Any loss or additional expenses incurred due to delays, accidents, natural disasters, political actions or government restrictions, must be borne by the clients. The handling of baggage is at the client's risk throughout the tour. Our programs, itineraries, services and prices are established and based on a proposed date of travel, and therefore subject to change without notice, before or during the tour. We reserve the rights to provide similar or superior hotels in case of non-availability.

Before you go

Clients are responsible for obtaining relevant visas and documents to enter the country legally. It is the client's own responsibility to meet our staff/guide or his representative, at the time and date agreed and mentioned in our final tour program confirmation.

Safety

Due to the nature of most of our adventure tours, participants must be aware of the hazards which may be associated with the activities. Therefore we strongly recommend that you carry your own travel insurance. Participants are responsible for loss or damage of provided equipment. Participants agree to accept the authority of the guide/tour leader throughout the tour.

Deposit & payment

Following client's booking request, we'll inform you about tour availability, details and price. 

After agreement, we will need to receive a reservation deposit. Participation in a tour will be confirmed to participants after reception of booking deposit only - no deposit means no firm booking. Deposit must be received by the Company at least 21 days before the tour or services begin. 

The reservation deposit is not refundable, and will cover our booking fees and expenses. Payment instructions and details will be sent with the final trip confirmation. 

For all sub-contracted services and hotel reservations, or when the participants/clients are not traveling to Chiang Mai, we require a full advance payment.

Cancellation by the clients

For all services, as full package tour arrangements, including hotel reservations, transports, participants must send a notice of cancellation via email, a minimum 21 working days, in order to be entitled to a refund. (Section refund policy)

Cancellation by the Company

On the Company's side, once we have received a deposit, there is little reason that we should cancel a tour. However the Company reserves the right to cancel a trip at any time, and in such case all payments/deposit already made will be refunded. We strongly recommend participants to contract a travel insurance.

Refund Policy

Booking deposits are not refundable for any services.

Our joint day trips services must be canceled with advance notice of minimum 7 working days in order to be entitled to a partial refund, deducting our deposit fees.

For all reservation services, refunds might be only partial, on case to case basis, depending of our provider policies (hotels, transportation and guide fees).

Unused portions of the trip

In case participant(s) are deciding to stop or shorten a tour/services for any reasons, during the tour, or before the end of the prearranged program, no refund will be made for the unused portions of the services or any tour arrangements.

Participant's agreement

Participation in our programs implies the client's agreement to the above conditions and the paid deposit stands for proof of acceptance of our general conditions.

Applicable law

Under the regulations and interpretations in line with Thai laws.

The applicable law and place of jurisdiction for all legal disputes arising directly or indirectly from the contractual relationship is Chiang Mai, Thailand.
